Converting a conservation shop-house into a home has some restriction due to the age of the structural supports
and also the need to take care of the architectural outlook of the shop-house. However this project was able to
not only keep the existing structure but also further enhanced the beauty of the beam structures into the design
of this home.
How this theme of design came about was purely due to the client’s love of antics & art pieces. To match his collections
we turned this home into a an escape into another place out of Singapore.
A place where passive ventilation flows through the home, creating a home a home carbon emission free.
Everything designed in this home is made to look raw and natural, noting the vanity in the bathroom made of concrete.
